Hard to argue who the best player in the league was... it's Crosby by a mile. I guess one could make the argument about him being on a non-playoff team but in this case I won't buy that.

I guess I'll be the one that disagrees. Yes, clearly the best player, that doesn't mean the most valuable player. I just can't give the award to a player whose team is under .500 and not in playoff contention. If Chicago had just missed out, sure, but they were just too far off for me. I guess I'm one of the ones that doesn't feel the best player should be the most valuable. Personally I think St. Louis was just as valuable as Crosby. When I added him to my team right away I started winning.
