I'm all for 16, but maybe 18 is a more equitable way to bridge the gap between "pro-contractionists" and "anti-contractionists". I like making up words.

Problem with 18 teams (which we did for two seasons after the Jets and Minsk joined) is that it means uneven divisions. Two with five and two with four teams. That screws up scheduling a bit. I think we just need to annihilate these four awful teams. haha Plus the dispersal draft will help some of the other weaker teams improve. There'd be some good players up for grabs... Gagne, Cammalleri, Marleau, Coburn, Zajac, Hudler, etc.
