Here are the season 11 standings, which we'll need for the draft (order is determined by combining season 11 and 12):
Moscow 74 27 40 7 61 Minsk 74 29 41 4 62 Alberta 74 28 38 8 64 Boston 74 33 41 0 66 Detroit 74 32 39 3 67 Toronto 74 33 39 2 68 Winnipeg 74 32 36 6 70 Paris 74 35 38 1 71 Chicago 74 37 33 4 78 Bratislava 74 35 32 7 77 Prague 74 35 30 9 79 Davos 74 35 30 9 79 Helsinki 74 38 33 3 79 Montreal 74 40 29 5 85 Stockholm 74 42 30 2 86 New York 74 44 26 4 92
Tie-breakers: 1) Combined wins for season 11 and 12. Lower number always gets better draft pick. 2) Combined goal differential. 3) Combined goals for.
Keep in mind that there are three compensatory picks in the first round this year because of the contraction... 4th, 5th and 6th overall. Chicago now has the 4th and Helsinki has the 5th and 6th. They won't be part of the draft lottery. Only the bottom 3 teams will be this year (last = 55%, second last = 25%, third last = 20%). If you finish fourth last you'll actually pick 7th, ouch.
